Duke is a diukon that had risen to a position of power in the Chicago mob. He did this courtesy of a rage controller that enabled him to overcome his natural tenancies for violence and rage.

| Episode 2x09 - "Penance": Duke tracked Jimmy to Old City to obtain the Tunisian fire elemental he had stolen. He kidnapped Will Zimmerman and forced Helen Magnus to give up Jimmy in exchange. Jimmy turned himself over in order to save Will and Helen but left the Fire Elemental in the van and replace it with a bomb. He entered Duke's car and detonated the bomb, killing them both. |

- Casting: Michael Shanks suggested Aleks Paunovic, actor and part-time boxer, for the part as the diukon Duke; being a boxer fit into the character's violent nature.[1]
- Name: The Duke's actual name is found listed in a police report seen on Henry Foss's computer screen when Henry investigates the abnormal mob. His name is seen on the file in two pieces; as Steve "T and Scott, S which arranges as Steve "The Duke" Scott.
- Reference: The name "Steve Scott" is based on the actual Steve Scott who is the Series Art department graphic designer for the show's graphics; his work includes Episode 2x09 - "Penance" which is how his name appears on this graphic 'prop' as he likely was the person who created it.
